Dear family and friends, January, 2007
Welcome to our year in pictures. After unintentionally dressing as twins with Kam at xmas 2005, Mark made a bold fashion move with a completely different red sweater for xmas 2006. We had numerous occasions to be with family in 2006, seeing both Penny (Ari’s mom) and the Yarkonys (Mark’s sister) on each coast. We welcomed Nikki in the Yarkony family and struggled with Ben’s anxiety problems. We saw Ari’s oldest brother, Paul and his children – Paul and Ryan win the goofy pic of the year award (Alex, Aly, Joel, and Mark won in the goofiest video category, but you’ll have to wait through post-production until that gets posted on www.fullbowl.com.).

Ari made an east coast trip in
June where he got some extra family time in after his annual Special Libraries
Association conference. He finally got
to meet cousin Danielle’s cute pup, Dillon. The conference was extra special because Ari
received a scholarship that paid for about half of the masters in library and
information science degree that he completed in November. Mark missed out on those June festivities
because he was honored by receiving an invitation to assist an intensive yoga
teacher training program at the Kripalu Institute in

Other fun visits included time with Ellen and her new husband, Gautam; the adorable Fingerhuts; Kelli, Cliff, and Olivet; and Harold and Soley’s family (colorfully represented by Kristen).

Other highlights of the year: we went camping twice: on the Middle Fork of the American River and at the gorgeous South Fork of the Yuba River; we witnessed snow on the East Bay hills in March; Mark continues his tradition of assisting Rona and Brahmani’s January yoga retreat in Mexico (Ari gets to go in 2007!); Mark is teaching four yoga classes per week; Ari is enjoying a well-deserved rest!; and we are enjoying the sangha (community) of the SF Gay Buddhist Fellowship.

Perhaps the most noteworthy highlight is that in July we celebrated our tenth anniversary together, now where should be go on that not-quite-second-honeymoon?
With loving-kindness,
Mark, Ari, and Ben
